About This Adventure

*Cost does not include boat seat. If you would like to dive from a boat, Honolulu boat seats are $50 per person with a max of 5 divers at a time. North Shore boat seats are $75 per person with a max of 4 divers per charter.

The PADI Discover Diver program offered by North Shore Dive Shop is a great way to experience scuba diving for the first time. This program is designed for people who have little or no prior scuba diving experience and want to try it out before committing to a full certification course.

During the program, you'll learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. You'll start with a brief overview of scuba diving equipment and how to use it.

Next, your instructor will take you on an open water dive in the ocean. Here, you'll get to experience the excitement and wonder of scuba diving in a real-world setting. Your instructor will guide you through the dive, pointing out interesting marine life and making sure you feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience.

By the end of the program, you'll have gained a new perspective on the underwater world and have a better understanding of what it takes to become a certified scuba diver. If you decide to continue your training, your Discover Diver experience can count toward your PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Protect marine life by applying reef-safe sunscreen before diving and on shore.
