History, Culture, Architecture, Traditions This 4-hour Barcelona city private tour is a complete Barcelona discovery in comfortable, modern passenger vans combined with walking portions (old quarter) to ensure that our guests see the most interesting areas of Barcelona including the back streets and hidden corners as well as the main sites of interest. Our Barcelona city tours by touring van explore every facet of Barcelona including Montjuïc for great panoramic views of the city and harbor, the botanical gardens and the 92’ Olympic facilities, the Plaza Espanya, Modernist L’Eixample, the busy port, and the beach of Barceloneta and the enchanting Ciutat Vella (Roman and Medieval old city).
Full Morning or afternoon with our entertaining, very knowledgeable guides. The 4-hour BCN Insider city tours include a 1-1.5-hour walking tour of the old quarter with an emphasis on the Roman and Medieval areas of the Barri Gòtic, the Born (Ribera), and the Port Vell (old port). For those who would prefer an alternative to the walking portion, we can provide a route through the old quarter in the van to the main attractions but most access points and monuments are not accessible by vehicle. 2 to 2.5-hours of the 4-hour Barcelona city tours are dedicated to viewing the modernist architectural works of the Modernisme era, mostly showcasing the works of Antoni Gaudí including exterior visit and explanation of La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera (Casa Mila) and Casa Batlló. Park Güell l is a regular part of all BCN Insider six-hour tours and can be, and is often, incorporated into four-hour Barcelona City Tours by substituting it for the Sagrada Familia or shorter exploration of the Ciutat Vella. Visits to the inside of the Gaudí works, or other monuments and museums, can be arranged but do require substantial extra time which we recommend for after the tour or a different day. In fact, all of our Barcelona city tours, including our Biking BCN All Corners tour and Walking 2000 Years of History tour are highly recommended for your first day or two in Barcelona and are specifically designed to give you a very solid understanding of Barcelona’s history and layout so you can properly choose the areas that most interest you and that you’d like to explore more on your own later.
