Adults: $12 Children: $6 Family Rate: $25 (1 adults with 3 children).
Children 5 and Under are Free, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Have you ever dreamed of being an archaeologist? Do you want to touch the past and feel the thrill of discovery? Riverside has partnered with the Kentucky Archaeological Survey for over 20 years to provide the public opportunities to participate in the discovery of long-lost history. This work has been integral to understanding the “unwritten” history of the site. Excavations continue to provide invaluable information about the people who lived and worked at Riverside.
Riverside offers you the opportunity to dig with professional archaeologists and become a part of the process of uncovering history! (Families are welcome. Not recommended for children 5 and under.)
Special notes: Due to Covid-19, you must make an advanced reservation. Group size is very limited. Masks and social distancing rules among people who are not in the same family must be observed. Gloves will be provided.
Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes suitable for digging and outdoor activity.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring sunglasses to stay comfortable during outdoor excavation.
Bring a water bottle—you’ll be working outdoors and want to keep refreshed.
