You step out of a lakeside Pokhara hotel and the highway pulls you toward thinner air and clearer light. The private drive to Phedi slides past rice terraces and roadside tea stalls; when you disembark the village roofs and a sweep of Himalayan peaks fill the frame. The trail immediately narrows into shaded forest, and the mountains keep tugging at the horizon — Annapurna, Fishtail, even distant Manaslu and Dhaulagiri make cameo appearances.
