The curtain lifts to a wash of color and the theatre breathes with the first drumbeat — smoke curls, lights slice through air, and a string of dancers begin a compact journey across the Indonesian archipelago. In a single hour the Devdan Show moves from Bali’s expressive legong to Sumatran mask work, Javanese court gestures, Borneo’s Dayak acrobatics and the fierce rhythms of Papua, all staged with aerial rigs and cinematic projection that push the choreography into three dimensions.
