About This Adventure

Catch Red-Side and Sea-Run Trout in the exclusive Deschutes - any time of year!

Duration

8 hours

About

The Lower Deschutes river is a special place that does not allow fishing from a boat. This is to protect the abundant native Red-Side trout as well as the sought after huge sea-run trout called steelhead. There are two very special times of year to fish this river. In late May to early June, there is a salmon fly hatch that works its way up the river from the mouth of the Columbia River. The other prime time is in September when there are 7-15 lb. steelhead moving up the river system to spawn. We can accommodate fly-fishing or regular fishing trips. Any time of year is a good time fishing on the Deschutes!
