About This Adventure

#Spend a day fly-fishing!

##Duration 8 Hours on the water + Lunch

##About Front Range Anglers is committed to providing you with the best Colorado fly fishing guides and guided fly fishing experience possible. We have assembled one of the most professional and top notch guide teams in Boulder and on the front range. There are many fly-by-night guide operations out there, but unlike some others, our guides are properly permitted, CPR certified and fully insured. Colorado’s Front Range and the area directly around Boulder offers a wide variety of fish species, excellent angling opportunities, and is best known for incredible and exciting dry fly fishing, making for an action-packed day! From wild Brown Trout in Boulder Creek to gorgeous Cutthroat Trout in the high mountain lakes and streams of Rocky Mountain National Park, our goal is to give you lasting memories of a true rocky mountain fly fishing experience.

Our trips are solely walk/wade. At the shop, you will be properly sized and fitted in your equipment to ensure your comfort. Once we have the equipment fitted and all necessary fishing licenses purchased, the guide will provide transportation to the water. Our guides create a comfortable learning environment for you along with years of fly-fishing and guiding experience to get you onto fish. You will find that our guides are both patient and attentive, especially with younger anglers. A dynamic guide will work hard so that you don’t have too!

###YOUR FRA GUIDE WILL PROVIDE:

  • Flies – FRA guides are stocked and prepared with flies.
  • Drinking Water – It’s very important to stay hydrated in the dry high alpine air of Colorado. Drink more than you think you need.
  • First Aid Kit – All FRA guides are First Aid / CPR Certified.
  • Sunscreen – SPF 30+ is necessary year round in Colorado to avoid nasty burns. Glare off the water only intensifies the sun.
  • Bug Spray – Simple, but it makes a world of difference in your enjoyment on the water.

###WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Fishing License - license is required on all of our guided trips. Link to purchase license will be included in your confirmation email.
  • Layers – The weather in Colorado is notorious for changing quickly. Your best strategy is to bring multiple light layers that can be added/removed quickly.
  • Packable Rainwear – Summer rains can be cold and intense, and often times even include small hail.
  • Pants – Light, synthetic pants are best in waders. Jeans bunch up and become uncomfortable quickly.
  • Socks – Medium or lightweight synthetic socks are ideal.
  • Sunglasses – Standard lenses are good, but polarized lenses are great! Bring them if you have them.
  • Hat – Recommended for sun protection and comfort, and it also helps cut glare from above which will help you spot fish!
