You push off from a small staging area a mile from the park entrance and the road unfurls—broad, gravel-surfaced and framed by spruce and birch. The Denago step-through eBike hums beneath you; power assists the climbs and leaves room to look up when the peaks appear. On a clear day, the ride toward Savage River offers open views across tundra, the river daring you to pause for photos, and pockets of boreal forest that smell sharply of sap and wet stone.
