Level 3 Fighting Handgun Class Covering: Safety/Safe Gun Handling, Dynamic application of marksmanship fundamentals, Drawing from Holster (Open &/or Concealed) , Shooting while moving, Multiple target/Multiple Distance Engagements, Intro Concept of Speed, Use of Barricades, Unconventional Shooting Positions, Non-Standard Response drills, Reload drills, Malfunction drills, 1-hand Shooting drills, Strategic Thinking/Planning and Fighting – expounding on Defensive Fighting Handgun mindset.
Mandatory Prerequisites: INT HG and HG201
Students must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and move swiftly between firing positions.
Gear Requirements: Semi-automatic handgun, at least THREE magazines, Sturdy kydex holster (open or concealed carry) and mag pouches. (No soft, collapsible holsters for this course.) Eye & Hearing Protection, Speed loader strongly recommended, and a Minimum of 300 rounds of training ammunition. Note-taking material and a desire to learn and develop your skill set.
The course requires participants to bring their own handgun and safety equipment to ensure familiarity and safety during training.
Choose long sleeves and sturdy, closed-toe shoes to stay comfortable and protected during active movement drills.
Tucson’s desert climate can quickly lead to dehydration; bring water and drink regularly throughout the session.
Arriving 15 minutes early allows time for a thorough safety briefing and equipment check before the session.
