FAQs

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Booking in advance is highly recommended to maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer. Tickets can be purchased online.

What happens if it rains? We will still go out in light rain and other moderate weather conditions. If the weather is severe and we have to cancel, you can reschedule to another trip or receive a credit for a future event. If it's a rainy day, please dress appropriately.

Can I still go on the boat if I don't want to fish? Yes, you can, but there is no reduced price ticket for those that just want to ride along. If you don't want to fish, you'll still need to purchase a full-priced ticket.

Are children allowed? Yes, children are allowed to join us. We recommend that children be at least 10 years of age, however, please keep in mind that this trip is 24 hours long and parents know their children best and should determine whether it is appropriate for their child.

Is this trip suitable for pregnant women? No, unfortunately pregnant women are not allowed on this trip.

What time should I arrive? We suggest guests arrive a minimum of 45 - 60 minutes before the boat is scheduled to leave so you can check in, have time to get your equipment settled and pick your spot on the boat.

I have never been fishing before. Is that okay? Oh sure, nothing like a new experience! Our crew will help you and answer any questions you have. You will need to let them know that you have never fished before and that you would like some help. Often times, some of the "seasoned" veterans are even willing to offer advice as well.

How many fish can I keep? You can keep as many fish as are allowed by the state regulations and limits. Your captain and crew are up to date on the most recent limit details and will update everyone with this information of what is legal and what is not. Regulations vary depending on the season and what we are fishing for on a particular day. The are many different species available. Most people come back with loaded stringers on this trip.

What type of fish will we catch? It all depends on what type of fish are in season. Most of the Season, all of the fish are available with no restrictions. Our typical catche include Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Pink Snapper, Silver Snapper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Red Grouper, Large Sea Bass, Triggerfish, Amberjacks, Cobia, Grunts, Rudderfish & Jolthead Porgies. How far out do we go? How much time do we actually spend fishing? We typically fish about 50 miles offshore and can get you to our favorite hot spots and have you fishing within 3 hours of leaving the dock. We'll spend the rest of the time fishing until it's time to head back in.

What happens when everyone catches their limit? Since there are multiple species of fish to catch at all times, if we catch our limit of one species, we continue fishing for others.

Can I sell the fish I catch? No, it is illegal to sell the fish you catch without proper licensing. If you decide not to keep any of the fish you catch, you can either release them or give them to a crew member.
