About

Are there places you want to explore that little bit deeper? The Deep Speciality course gives you the skills and confidence to plan and execute dives to maximum of 40m safely. This course will teach you how to plan a deep dive, manage your air supply and the specialised equipment needed.

Requirements

  • Open Water Dive certification
  • Age 15+
  • Participants under 18 years old require a parent / guardian to complete application and liability form

Before the Course

  • Create an SDI account (https://portal.tdisdi.com/register)
  • Complete the e-learning and final exam
  • Have the medical form signed by a GP (if applicable)
  • Obtain or hire all dive equipment needed (visit us in store for recommendations)

What to Bring

  • Dive equipment - Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, Dive Computer, SMB & Reel. Dive torch recommended.
  • Bathers, towel, hat and sunscreen
  • Water bottle and snacks
  • GP signed medical form (if applicable)
  • Participants under 18 must have liability forms signed by a parent / guardian

Finish your online theory and exam before arrival to maximize hands-on dive time and safety.

Bring or Rent Proper Deep Diving Gear

Ensure you have a reliable dive computer, SMB, and torch for effective dive planning and communication.

Arrive Early to Check Equipment

Arrive at 7:30am sharp at Quindalup Boat Ramp to set up gear and attend pre-dive briefing calmly.

Hydrate Well and Light Snacks

Bring water and snacks to maintain energy and hydration after dives and during breaks.
