Trip Summary

Our most popular run. This is a solid beginner trip with great mountain scenery and plenty of fun rapids, including Ritchie's Falls which is a challenging Class II rapid. Customers taking this trip will be shuttled 9 miles upstream to the Horseshoe Bend public boat ramp to launch. You will then paddle downstream back to our river front store location. This trip takes a full HALF DAY to complete, so make sure to pack a lunch and bring plenty to drink. The first four miles of the trip has a special designation as a State Scenic River section. As this trip ends where your car is parked, it has the most flexibility with take-out times, making it a great choice for those interested in fishing along the way. Please note, first time paddlers may prefer our Springwood trip as a first experience due to trip length and challenge level.
