Riders should have long pants for riding, and closed toed shoes (no sandals or flats allowed in the barn). We prefer shoes with a 1/2 inch square heel (i.e. cowboy boots, hikers with a heel, rain boots with a heel, ect.) All riders will be required to wear one of our equestrian helmets.
Closed-toed shoes with at least a ½-inch heel (like hiking boots or cowboy boots) are required for safety in the barn.
Long pants are mandatory to prevent chafing and protect your legs during grooming and riding.
Scheduling requires notice; availability can be limited, so plan ahead to secure your preferred date.
Sessions take place indoors year-round, so dress comfortably for a climate-controlled environment with some barn dust.
Winnipeg’s agricultural heritage is deeply connected to equestrian traditions, with Sagehill maintaining this legacy through education and riding experiences.
Sagehill Stables focuses on responsible horse care and sustainable stable management to minimize environmental impact.
Protects legs from chafing and is required for riding safety.
Prevents slipping in stirrups and protects feet inside the barn.
Keeps you comfortable with shifting temperatures in the spring barn environment.
