Baxstar Fishing offers a unique winter date night adventure! Enjoy our warm and comfy Ice Castle fish houses located in a winter wonderland. Take in the beauty of Little Detroit Lake, while hanging out and hooking the catch of the day. Bring dinner and drinks, card games, fluffy blankets, or whatever else you want! Watch TV, or stream from your phone. Heck, we don't even care if you fish! You do you.

Are double dates allowed? Yep, bring your friends!

Can you stay the night? Heck yeah! Everthing you need is located in the Ice Castle.

You can bring your own bait, or you can add Live Bait Delivery to have bait delivered and waiting for you in the house. ​ 40%-60% off Rods & tackle, fish finders, underwater cameras are also available to rent at checkout.

More Details

​ Our Date Night service is available Sundays evening through Thursdays, every week of February. 

Check in is at 5:30 pm. Check out is at 9:30 (we can be flexible). For overnight rentals, check out time is 11:00 am the following morning. ​​ Bring any food and drink that you want. Cook or bring takeout, it's up to you!  No alcohol allowed for participants under 21 years old. *Customer provides cookware.   Directions to the fish house will be provided.  The house is easy to find, but customers have the option to meet someone at the access, to show them the way. You can choose this option at checkout.. ​​ Customers will be asked o drive on the ice to the Ice Castle.  There will be a plowed road but we highly recommend you drive a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. It's safe traveling but accidents happen.  Have a plan if you get stuck.  Bring a shovel.  Contact family, a friend or a towing company. ​ Double check your calendar before booking.  It's a short season for us, and every reservation counts. Please note, customers cancelling a reservation less then an 7 days in advance will be refunded in the form of a Baxstar Fishing gift certificate.  Blizzard warnings and whiteout conditions may be cause for cancellation with a refund.  We will be in touch with you. ​​ Brady will be in contact with you once you book to answer any questions you may have.
