You kick off on a sun-washed lane, tires ticking over warm stone as the sea keeps time just off to your left. Pine-scented gusts push you along minor roads; church bells from St. Elias punctuate the rhythm. The ride threads old Roman wells, a cistern hewn in antiquity, and the low rise of the Arauzona prehistoric settlement — places that still hold the imprint of centuries.
