Want to get away from the buzzing city center of Thessaloniki? Join our coastline tour and cycle the well-known Thessaloniki promenade with us. The promenade is one of the most important meeting places for the young and older people of Thessaloniki and – especially on Sundays – the place to see and be seen.
The city center of Thessaloniki sits directly at the seaside. At the seaside lies one of the few bicycle lanes of the city, on which we can easily cycle as much as 12 km to the other side of the city, along the waterfront. There is a lot to see on the promenade as well. Famous Thessaloniki sights, such as the white tower, the Royal Theater, the concert hall, the umbrella statues and the artistic, thematic gardens along the coastline are a true sight for sore eyes.
During this relaxed tour along the coastline of Thessaloniki, we take you on an approximately four hour bike ride and show you all mentioned sights. As a bonus we pay a visit to the old warehouses in the city’s harbor. The tour makes you understand why Thessaloniki is said to be the more modern and progressive city of Greece, compared to the capital, and Thessaloniki’s rival, Athens
Our guides tell you all about the history and modern day life in the city. Our guides speak fluent English and Dutch. The tour ends with a coffee stop at the seaside in the little town of Kalamaria.
