Adventure tips

Declare mobility needs earlyIf anyone in your party uses a wheelchair or walking aid, notify the operator when booking so they can plan space and pickup logistics.

Expect single‑track roadsDrive time includes narrow, winding single‑track stretches — allow extra time and be prepared for slower travel between sights.

Pack for changeable weatherBring waterproof layers and a warm mid‑layer even in summer; coastal winds and sudden showers are common.

Carry small cashSome smaller attractions, cafes or craft shops may prefer cash for admission or purchases.

Recommended gear

Waterproof jacket: Keeps you dry on sudden Highland showers and blocks wind on exposed viewpoints.
Sturdy walking shoes: Useful for short walks on uneven castle grounds, coastal paths or forest trails.
Binoculars or zoom camera lens: Helps you spot dolphins, seabirds and distant wildlife from viewpoints.
Reusable water bottle: Reduce plastic waste and stay hydrated during long days on the road.
