Immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture with a unique workshop at Firescreek Botanical Winery. Engage with an Elder as they share captivating stories, showcase traditional tools, and perform on the didgeridoo. Enjoy a guided tasting of award-winning wines infused with native botanicals, all set in the serene beauty of the winery's gardens.

During this workshop you will experience an unforgettable display of Aboriginal culture. A rich and primally rewarding hands on experience, learning from an Elder about a diverse range of Aboriginal culture and traditions. Experience the art of an Elders Aboriginal storytelling, feel the vibrations touch your soul from the strength of his didgeridoo and clapping stick playing, examine a wide range of traditional Aboriginal tools and artefacts and learn how they were first made and enjoy wine tasting of award winning wines in the beautiful gardens of Firescreek Botanical Winery.
You will be shown and where seasonally possible and practical be able to taste Australian Native plants. The Firescreeks’ winemaker will also guide you through wine tasting and discuss how Australian native flora and other botanicals are used to make these unique wines.
Arrive at the cellar door at 11:00am where you will be met by the Aboriginal Elder and the Firescreek winemaker. The Elder will take you on an immersive and interactive discussion of Aboriginal culture, heritage and traditions. Including a masterful didgeridoo display, a wondrous Aboriginal instrument crafted from nature, that echos a vibrant and primal sound, a not to be forgotten experience.
A discussion about Australian natives displayed in a handmade Aboriginal coolamon bowl with also be provided and where seasonally possible and practical, guests will be able to try this Aboriginal bush tucker. The elder will guide you through traditional Aboriginal stories and history of the Aboriginal people and an immersive discussion about a wide range of Aboriginal artefacts will be provided by the Elder.
The Winemaker will take you on a guided tasting of all current vintages of wine produced at the winery with a discussion about the winemaking process and the use of indigenous botanicals utilised in the making of specialised vintages, that are not made anywhere else in the world.
For this experience to commence a minimum of 4 adults or equivalent are required with a minimum of 7 days notice of the bookings. Should the tour not gain adequate numbers, we will contact you to see if another date can be suitably arranged.
