About

  • This guided day tour of Strasbourg will take you to this stunning Alsace border city. An hour drive from Heidelberg, Strasbourg is filled with incredible architecture and mouthwatering cuisine that mirrors the mingling of French and German influences over the centuries. Tour the famous Strasbourg Cathedral and wine and dine in one of Western Europe’s most stunning locales.

  • Your private tour of Strasbourg includes a guided stroll through the charming Old Town and of course a visit to its majestic Gothic cathedral, which from 1647 to 1886 was the tallest building in the world!

  • With its quaint timber frame houses and joint French and German influences, Strasbourg has much to delight and interest any visitor.

  • We will take a relaxing open-topped boat along the River Ile to admire some of Strassbourg’s many old buildings and the recently built European Parliament. Then we can enjoy some fine local cuisine in an authentic local restaurant. The chocolates, cheeses, and baked goods in this region are world-class, so come ready to dine!

  • After lunch we will head to the lovely old town of Obernai, just a short drive from Stasbourg. Obernai too has a charming old town and is an important hub for the Alsace wine region. Here we can explore the 14th century city walls and browse some beautiful Alsation pottery.

  • Then we head off into the delightful countryside along the famous Alsace Wine Road, or Route du Vin. It is a very picturesque drive through endless vineyards with one pretty village after another – a truly special area.

  • We will stop at specially selected quality wineries along the way, tasting a range of delicious wines. You will be enchanted by the unique charms of each individual village.
