Your guide is a Māori descendant of those who were at the battle. You will stand on the very grounds and hear stories of chivalry as you are walked through a defining colonial battle. Traveling. through the forests we travel to Rotorua to the geothermal region where you will experience the world renowned Whakarewarewa Māori culture performance. Returning to Tauranga we travel through the main Kiwifruit growing region before visiting the guide’s local marae. To conclude your experience we will take the opportunity to view the Tauranga harbour and coastline from the surrounding hills. A truly stunning view!
