Your Day in Niš (Serbia)
8:30 h Departure behind St. Alexander Nevski church across La Cathedralle restaurant.
11:00 h Upon our arrival in Niš we will first visit the famous Cele Kula (Skull Tower NIS), then the important archaeological site Medijana (Emperor Vila). Please note that Medijana is often closed for renovations and in exchange we might visit the Archeological Exhibition in Nis holding some of the most interesting findings from the actual site. A short drive takes us to Niš Concentration Camp - a small but very authentic concentration camp set by the Germans during World War 2 to imprison and kill Jews, Romas and other minorities.
13:00 h Free time to walk around the central square and have some famous Serbian grill or other lunch.
15:30 h we leave back to Sofia and expect to arrive around 18:00h. to St. Alexander Nevski square in Sofia.
The itinerary may vary depending on road conditions, border waiting, weather, traffic or other. Please note that the waiting time at the border in the summer months of July and August may be significant.
