Tea lovers and the tea curious will rejoice in this tour all about tea! Do you know what the tea families are? What makes a tea a black tea? Be ready to be immersed in this cozy and refined tour. You will smell, taste, learn and try your hand at making the perfect cup of tea. We start in a Chinese pharmacy, move on to a tea sommelier school for a short course and then taste elegant English sandwiches and pastries as well as Japanese delights along with tea in the second half of the tour. The tour starts with a lot of history, tea learning and tea-making technique but gets more and more euphoric and loungey as you become what we call “tea drunk.”
Tea will never be the same once you fall down this rabbit hole and realize that you have discovered a new world of tea! Meet some of the magical people that travel the world picking out the best teas just for you.
You will return home with a new appreciation and understanding of the diverse world of tea and how outstanding the tea available in Montreal is!

From its history to its current reality, we will experience it from all angles, tasting as we go. • Visits to two retailers, a top tea importer, a tea school, and two tea rooms. • You will be served a substantial amount of food in the second half of the tour and we can accommodate all food restrictions. • As tea is an appetite stimulant it is recommended you do not start on an empty stomach, but you will likely finish the tour full!
