Lei Tutorial Experience - 5-6 PM - In this one-hour lei making tutorial, participants will explore the rich history and cultural significance of lei, while discovering the various plants used in lei making. You’ll learn about different methods and techniques, from stringing to braiding, with a hands-on demonstration of ti leaf lei making and kupe’e. All materials will be freshly sourced from our very own lei garden, ensuring an authentic and sustainable experience. Along the way, we’ll cover the proper care and preparation of lei materials, giving you the tools to create your own beautiful hair piece or wristlet. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a meaningful introduction to the art of lei making.
