This stage allows you to explore the world of papier-mâché and the craftsmanship of the typical artifacts of the Salento tradition, an expression of a century-old art that combines papier-mâché and clay to create sacred and profane statues.
The workshop, in addition to providing historical notes on the origins of papier-mâché, will give the unique, original and unforgettable opportunity to “touch” the production of art pieces, participating in the creation of statues in papier-mâché, thus offering the exceptional opportunity to deepen the knowledge of this centuries-old form of Lecce craftsmanship.
You will learn about the materials used, and you will experience the surprise of being able to create papier-mâché objects with your own hands.
