Description

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to prove yourself in this hands-on introduction to baking bread. Get to grips with the foundations of baking, from using yeast to next-level kneading, then knock up 2 beautiful breads with your little chef, including a spongy focaccia. Let’s bake!

What you’ll do:

  • Learn to mix, knead and prove like a pro as you make 2 breads from scratch.
  • Unlock the foundations and principles of bread baking.
  • Discover tips and tricks for shaping dough, then feel pride transforming pre-proved wholemeal dough into your own mini loaves.
  • Tuck into your wholemeal loaves at our dining table and turn them into the best BLT you’ll ever have.
  • Leave with your focaccia to tuck into at home.

What you’ll eat & drink

  • The world’s greatest BLT, with freshly baked bread, crispy bacon (or halloumi), crunchy lettuce and sweet tomatoes
  • Fresh rosemary focaccia (a treat to take home!)
  • Water is provided throughout.

What to expect:

  • Easy-to-follow demos, led by our expert teaching chef
  • Tuck into your BLT around our chef’s table (or pack a box to take home, if you prefer)
  • A digital recipe pack with everything you need to recreate the magic at home
  • All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be provided.
  • You’ll work alongside your little one to recreate the dishes at your cooking station.

  • Simply book yourself a place on any of our in-person kids’ classes, and we'll give you a child's place for free!*
  • One adult and one child must cook together to complete the class (unfortunately we cannot accept more than one child per adult). -Our kids’ classes are only suitable for children above the age of 8 years old.
  • To keep everyone safe, children must be of an adequate height to work at the kitchen top (90cm) without the use of a stool, prop or other method of raising them.
  • The duration of the class includes teaching demos and hands-on cooking, as well as time to tuck into delicious dishes at our chef’s table.
  • Only those who are actively taking part in a class are permitted at the Cookery School. Sadly, we are unable to accommodate spectators or provide a waiting area for friends and family.
