About

Join us for an evening starting in typical Italian fashion, with aperitivo at La Nicchia Cafè. Stimulate your appetite with fresh water buffalo mozzarella caprese, genovese pesto, truffles, 30 year aged balsamic vinegar and more treats. D.O.C. Falangina wine is served with tastings.

Following aperitivo, prepare your taste buds for the famous Pizzarium, Rome’s number one pizzeria. The owner Gabriele Bonci, is described as the ‘Michelangelo of pizza,’ recommended by Anthony Bordain, CNN and endless International food bloggers. Gabriele uses the highest quality ingredients, to create over 80 daily variations. Favorites include caviar, foie gras, prosciutto with fig and fresh ricotta with baby zucchini.

La Tradizione is the number one gourmet food shop in Rome, offering over 400 types of cheeses and 150 types of cured meats. Here you will taste the real ‘retro gusto’ and discover the importance of ‘what grows together, goes together’. Enjoy the best cheeses Italy has to offer, including Parmigano Reggiano, Pecorino Romana, sweet Gorgonzola and Torta Montanara. Decide which ham you prefer between Parma, Cinta Senese and Joselito. To compliment the food, a glass of fine D.O.C wine will be offered to you.

Savor handmade pasta dishes and calamari at Al Giardino del Gatto e la Volpe family owned restaurant. The pasta dishes are ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach as well as gnocchi with four cheeses. The wine offered is a D.O.C.G Vermentino.

We end our tour with an education in gelato at Fatamorgana gelateria. Become an expert in gelato, by learning how to spot the real thing from the fake stuff. Fatamorgana introduced gourmet gelato to the Romans, with favorites including limone from the Amalfi Coast in Campagnia, pistacchio from Bronte in Sicily.

Throughout the tour receive essential food tips of the city, to ensure your enjoyment of Rome’s best foods, will not end with our tour.
