Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Vietnamese street food in this hands-on cooking class. Learn to craft five delicious dishes, from aromatic chicken pho to fresh prawn summer rolls. With expert guidance, sharpen your culinary skills and savor your creations at the chef's table, making for an unforgettable dining experience.

Bold, aromatic and full of fresh flavours, Vietnamese street food is a true feast for the senses. Transport yourself to the bustling streets of Hanoi by getting to grips with 5 Vietnamese-style dishes in this unforgettable class.

What you’ll do:

  • Get to know pho inside out: discover how to create a perfectly spiced broth, then watch as your chef transforms it into a slurpy chicken pho.
  • Bash up a fiery, aromatic paste using lemongrass, chilli, ginger and palm sugar, then use it to create sizzling pork balls.
  • Sharpen your knife skills by julienning fresh, crunchy vegetables. Impress your mates by creating your own prawn summer rolls from scratch.
  • Knock up a crunchy Vietnamese salad – a riot of colour and flavour.
  • Discover how to make a perfectly salty, sweet, sour and spicy nuoc cham (AKA the best dipping sauce in the world – trust us).
  • Take a seat at our chef’s table to tuck into your Vietnamese street-food spread.

What you’ll eat & drink:

  • Sweet & spicy pork balls
  • Prawn summer rolls
  • Crunchy summer salad
  • Nuoc cham dipping sauce
  • Good-for-the-soul chicken pho
  • A complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival (or a soft drink, if you prefer)
  • Water is provided throughout and you’re welcome to purchase wine, beer, spirits & mixers, cocktails and softs from our drinks menu.

What to expect:

  • All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be provided.
  • Easy-to-follow demos, led by our expert teaching chef.
  • You’ll work in pairs to recreate the dishes at your cooking stations.
  • Tuck into your Vietnamese feast around our chef's table (or pack a box to take home, if you prefer).
  • A digital recipe pack with everything you need to recreate the magic at home.

Additional info

  • You don’t have to be part of a pair to book. If you’re flying solo, you may be paired up with another person.
  • The duration of the class includes teaching demos and hands-on cooking, as well as time to tuck into delicious dishes at our chef’s table.
  • Only those who are actively taking part in a class are permitted at the Cookery School. Sadly, we are unable to accommodate spectators or provide a waiting area for friends and family.
