Embark on a culinary adventure designed for scouts! In just two hours, participants can earn badges while mastering cooking skills, exploring new cuisines, and fostering teamwork. Choose from exciting classes like making homemade pasta or international dishes, all while enjoying delicious creations and enhancing nutrition knowledge. A memorable experience awaits!

About

Whether your troop is looking to work on a cooking badge, enjoy a fun activity together, improve their cooking skills, or celebrate, we have a class for you! These classes are designed specifically with scouts in mind. We teach cooking skills, give tips on boosting nutrition, foster team work, and encourage chefs to taste new things.

You will have a choice of the one of the following classes:

*All-in-One Simple Meal Badge Complete your simple meal badge in one class session. Start with whipping up some French toast for breakfast. Make a simple meal spaghetti with marinara sauce. And don't forget dessert! You will make your own custom ice cream for a sweet, end of the meal treat.

*All-in-One New Cuisines Badge Complete your New Cuisines Badge in one session!

  1. Make a dish from another country: Chicken Tortilla Soup (Mexico)
  2. Create a dish from another region of the United States: Cornbread (Southern United States)
  3. Whip up a dish from another time period: Molasses Cookies
  4. Cook a dish that makes a statement: Make something homemade that is usually fast food or processed food - GO-Gurt (yogurt snacks)

*Make a Meal (advanced)/ Homemade Pasta & Sauce w. oven roasted broccoli

*Make a Meal (advanced)/ Enchiladas with chips & homemade salsa

*Make a Meal (advanced)/ Thai Egg Rolls with sweet and sour sauce

Cost

There is no deposit required for a scouts reservation. You will be charged $32/ scout on the day of the class.

Waiver

Each participant of any "The Kitchen Table" classes are required have a waiver on file. This waiver will cover the current class, as well as all other future classes taken through "The Kitchen Table". Only one signed Fareharbor waiver is needed per participant. Once we have a waiver on file for you or your child, you are not required to sign a new one. Minors must have a parent/guardian over 18 submit a waiver on their behalf. You will receive a link to the online waiver in your confirmation email.
