So far, our workshop has received visitors from all continents. Reviewed by the Los Angeles Times newspaper and named one of the 10 things to do in Mexico City by Daytripper, is a workshop that connects you with our Mexican cuisine in a very special way.
You will learn to cook regional Mexican dishes, in a fully hands-on cooking class, with easy recipes to follow that you can replicate back home. Enjoy a market tour and a four-course lunch in an intimate cooking studio.
We will start your experience with a welcome ""agua fresca"" while learning about the history of Mexican cuisine.
Then we will share with you detailed explanations of recipes and ingredients to be ready to head to the kitchen for a hands-on cooking experience.
We will prepare quesadillas with salsa, red rice with fried plantain, hand-made tortillas, red mole and flan.
Afterwards, enjoy the lunch you've prepared with a pairing of artisanal mezcal, Mexican craft beer or Mexican wine.
Finish your experience with a high note of hot chocolate and dessert.
*Class includes a market tour to Mercado de Coyoacan (walking distance). We will explain market’s history, organization and offering while touring some of their main halls and have a tasting from selected market stands.
1st course – Quesadillas with Mexican salsa Street food appetizers (quesadillas) paired with a red molcajete salsa
2nd course – Red rice with fried plantain Seasoned Mexican red rice served alongside with crispy fried plantains.
3rd course – Red mole Mole Rojo from Oaxaca, usually served in special occasions, uses traditional spices and ingredients. This version calls for dried chiles as pasilla, guajillo and ancho as well as raisins and almonds or peanuts. It is usually served with chicken (mushrooms or panela cheese as vegan/vegetarian alternatives).
4th course – Flan Creamy, caramel-topped Mexican custard dessert with a rich, smooth texture and a hint of vanilla

An apron will be provided to be used during class. To better enjoy the class we suggest wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, please avoid scarves, long necklaces and jewelry while in the kitchen.
