This ride is approximately 2.5 hours, with a total session time of approximately 4.25 hours.
This ride is directed toward those with prior riding experience only. During this lightly- instructional experience guests of Maverick will:
-participate in cross country riding at a walk, trot, canter pace including down light slopes with occasional abrupt changes in topography -encounter low level field jumps (that always have an easy way to avoid if you would not like to jump or if you are in a western saddle) -groom horses from top to bottom in a detailed manner -tack up with minimal assistance -notify instructor immediately if assistance is needed -listen to directions well -be prepared to get off the horse and walk it back with a polite and grateful energy if unable to keep up with the pace of the group. The Horsemanship Trail is $185 and is available to people of any level who need instruction. It is a wonderful opportunity for more experienced writers to get to pick up the pace and also suitable for less experienced riders to develop these skills.
