About This Adventure

Join this hands-on workshop to craft a one-of-a-kind clay planter using innovative slab and coil techniques. Unleash your creativity with unique shapes and personalize your piece with a glaze of your choice, all while enjoying an inclusive sliding scale pricing model that makes art accessible for everyone.

This class takes place at Black Hound Clay Studio South: 1701 Federal Street, South Philadelphia.

Duration: 2 Hours

In this fun beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create a unique clay planter for your houseplants using slab and coil building techniques. Building this way will allow you to create interesting, funky shapes that are one of a kind! Once you’re finished, you will select your glaze and your pieces will be glazed and fired by the studio and available for pick up in 3-4 weeks.

Our workshops are a great activity for friends, partners and families! Workshops are suitable for kids 10 and over with an accompanying adult.

A Note About Sliding Scale Workshops:

We wanted to make clay experiences accessible to as wide an audience as possible, so our workshops are priced in 3 tiers. If you are unfamiliar with how sliding scale fees work, we ask that you take a look at this graphic before you register to get a sense of where you fall on the scale.

If you request a cancellation via email at least 48 hours before the time of your workshop, we'll issue you a refund or rebook you for another date.
