You will learn the basics of artisan ceramics while at the same time participate in a hands-on activity.
What is the creative group craft activity?
The Muse
This activity is designed for a team to have some fun and to know each other a little better in a friendly, open environment. At the end of the activity the team will have created a clay bust of every team member. The figures will then be dried, twice kiln fired and glazed. The final items will be ready about two to three weeks after the team activity.
Timeline:

15 minutes: general introductions and instructions.

1 ½ hours: in pairs, team members sculpt a bust of their team partner. The goal is to capture the essence of their muse. The upper body form is pre-made, so participants can focus on facial features and apparel choices.

15 minutes: each team member presents their creation and explains the reasoning behind the choices made for representing the individual they way they have (the features and decoration of their muse-ie. good listener, snappy dresser, etc.)
Result: the group creates a physical representation of their team and learns more about each other and the group.

Everything is included. No need to bring anything special with you, just arrive 5 minutes before class. We’ll have an apron ready for you and your group.
