About

Ceramic tile making is a memorable experience. It engages your group in a fun creative activity.

Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is unique. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition is an engaging hands-on experience.

You will learn the basics of artisan ceramics while at the same time participate in a hands-on activity.

What is the creative group craft activity?

Make two artisan ceramic tiles, one for you and the other is added to our community mural project. Your donated tile will become part of our permanent mural in Barcelona.

In making your tiles you will learn about the ceramics process, different clays and decoration techniques.

Making ceramic tiles is a fun activity designed for a private group to individually work, have fun and relax. We offer individual ceramic activities for private groups that are designed to learn more about ceramics, make something while having fun as a group.

At the end of the activity each person will have created two artisan ceramic tiles. Then the tiles will then be dried, twice kiln fired and glazed. The tiles will be ready about two to three weeks after the activity.

Your Finished Tiles

Ceramics take a bit of time to be kiln fired. So we offer two options for your finished tiles if you are just visiting Barcelona:

  • Option 1:

A few days later your finished tile pieces come out of the kiln and are ready to be picked up or mailed to you. Shipping is not included in the workshop.

  • Option 2:

Just visiting Barcelona? You can leave your two tiles to be added to the community mosaic and select one finished tile made by Taller Gingell at our workshop in Barcelona to take home.
