What you’ll learn and what we’ll do.
You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques.
Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and personalise your own artisan cup.
You’ll learn skills ceramists use when sculpting by hand. After your cup is complete you will learn to texture and add decorations.
No need to bring anything special, just arrive 5 minutes before class. We’ll have an apron ready for you.
No prior ceramics experience is necessary.
Your Finished Artisan Cup Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona:
Option 1: A few weeks later your cup is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop.
Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your cup and select a finished handmade cup made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory.

Taller Gingell is recognized and accredited as being an artisan ceramics workshop by the Generalitat of Catalonia. In addition the workshop is a licensed fine arts academy by the city of Barcelona.
Ceramicist - Wendy Gingell
Wendy is a ceramicist whose work has been exhibited in Europe and North America, including at the Smithsonian, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the American Craft Council craft shows. Her ceramics are part of permanent museum collections and private collections in North America and Europe.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Art History. She is a current member of the Association of Artists and Craftsmen FAD (A-FAD), the Associació Ceramistes de Catalunya and the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA-USA). She is a ceramic artisan accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya with Artisan Card number 15,932.
