Make Your Own Ceramic Planter.

Come and have fun. Learn how to hand build your very own ceramic planter.

Visit our workshop, learn about ceramics and try it yourself! Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment.

What you’ll learn and what we’ll do.

You will learn about ceramics, different clays and decoration techniques.

Let the fun begin.

Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty. Hands on, you will make and personalise your own ceramic planter.

You’ll learn skills ceramists use when sculpting by hand. After your planter is complete you will learn to texture and add decorations.

No need to bring anything special, just arrive 5 minutes before class. We’ll have an apron ready for you.

No prior ceramics experience is necessary.

Your Finished Planter Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. So we offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona:

  • Option 1: A few weeks later your planter is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop.

  • Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your planter and select a finished planter made by Taller Gingell to take home as a memory.

What makes this activity unique?

Visiting and working in a professional ceramics studio is a unique experience. Our artisan ceramics workshop is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The opportunity to try your hand at this craft tradition will create a unique and memorable experience. The workshop includes sharing pottery decoration techniques and fun. You will make a ceramic planter. Make your own flower pot.

Wendy and her husband Eric are the founders of Taller Gingell. Adventure Tips

Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop starts to get comfortable with the tools and space.

Clay can be messy; dress in clothes you don’t mind getting a bit of clay dust on.

Your planter will be delicate before firing—transport it carefully after the session.
