More info:

We’ll begin this exquisite gourmet wine testing tour in Madrid’s beautiful Plaza Isabel II starting off with a fine-wine and traditional cold-cut meats and cheese. Then we’ll head for the wine-tavern district of “La Latina” stopping at three of the best family-run Madrid taverns for some of Madrid’s most delicious wines and tapas.

The specialty tapas of this district are called “pinchos”, or “tostas”; delicious tapa ingredients piled high on a piece of sliced crunchy bread. These novelty tapas are always on display at the bar, so it’s up to you to choose the one that’s most appealing to you.

Wine is over 8,000 years old and an important part of the Mediterranean diet. Spanish wine has just recently begun to get the international recognition it deserves. The weather in Spain provides some of the best quality grapes for the elaboration of the best Spanish wines. In fact, a lot of the top fine French and Italian wine producers import Spanish grapes, given their high quality, it’s a well kept secret…but don’t tell anyone out of the wine tour in Madrid shhh!!

Indulge on some of the best Spanish Rioja, Ribera del Duero and white Rías Baixas wines Spain has to offer in our Gourmet Wine Tour in Madrid.
