Our Crab fishing charter trips can be a fun outing for everyone in the family including the young ones. Columbia River crabbing in Astoria usually starts to get good in September and will remain good until late November. It is expect for all of our guided crab trips to limit out. During our crabbing trips out of Astoria we will be soaking crab pots on the tide. In addition, we may use crab rings on anchor for the down time. Kids typically love the crab rings because of the constant action. Our chartered crab trips can make for some great memories and lots of excitement.
Before the trip, you will need to purchase and bring a valid Oregon or Washington shellfish license. One day licenses are available at local bait shops.
Layered clothing and waterproof gear are recommended as conditions can change quickly on the water.
To carry home your cooked crab and any additional gear or souvenirs from the trip.
Some splashes and rain are common, so waterproof footwear and quick-drying clothes help keep you comfortable.
