About

Paddleboarding is a great way to spend some time together in the sea. This booking is for a couple (two adults) taking part in an open group lesson.

We provide all the equipment you'll need, including high-quality 5mm thick winter wetsuits that keep you toasty, buoyancy aids, and gloves, boots, and hoods if needed.

  • Perfect for your first time paddleboarding; build comfort, skills, and safety knowledge for independent paddling.
  • Flat-water conditions; sheltered harbour or beach location
  • Structured 2 hour lesson
  • Learn control techniques, safety & self-rescue, and have fun!

What to expect?

For our Introduction to SUP, we'll meet at the chosen venue; a sheltered harbour or our beach base depending on the conditions. We'll get changed and familiarise ourselves with the equipment and important safety information. Then we'll hit the water where you'll build control of the board on your knees before getting to your feet. Our aim is to provide a structured lesson that builds your comfort and prepares you for independent paddling or a tour. The lesson will last about 2 hours after we're changed and good to go.

What to bring?

Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and water. We recommend you arrive with swimwear on (for under your wetsuit) as it makes it easier to get changed at the beach.

Requirements

  • We ask that everybody taking part in our paddleboard lessons can swim 50 metres.

Adventure Tips

Arrive in swimwear

Wearing swimwear under your wetsuit speeds up changing and keeps you comfortable during lessons.

Bring sunscreen and water

Even on cool days, UV exposure can be strong, and staying hydrated is key during physical activity on the water.

Basic swimming ability required

Participants must be able to swim at least 50 meters to ensure safety on open water.

Dress for chilly conditions

Water temperatures here are cold year-round; the wetsuit provided helps, but layering is important before and after your lesson.
