We recommend you arrive with swimwear on (for under your wetsuit) as it makes it easier to get changed into your wetsuit.
Bring closed-toe shoes with laces that won’t slip off in the water, like old trainers—avoid Crocs or loose sandals.
Participants should be comfortable swimming at least 25 meters to join safely.
Wear your swimsuit underneath to simplify changing into the wetsuit at the start.
Be prepared for chilly winds and sudden shifts in weather; check conditions before booking.
Portknockie has a longstanding fishing heritage, with local culture still tied closely to the sea and its rhythms.
