The next step to your cruising lifestyle, our ASA104 course is taught on our Beneteau Oceanis 390 or Elan Impression 444.

Our live-aboard couple/pair sailing lessons allows the two of you to immerse yourself in the sailing lifestyle. Each course you take will be private and allow us to focus on building your skills as a team.

Our ASA 104 will prepare both of you to confidently sail the boat in a coastal cruising environment.

One night at anchor at Bird Island along with a 25 to 30 mile ocean sail to Bald Head Island, NC for an overnight stay is included to prepare you for life aboard. Along with your Instructor, the two of you will be meal planning and budgeting for the course. (A gift card is made available to you for provisioning.)

ASA 104 teaches the intermediate sailor the required skills to cruise safely as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat during a multi-day cruise upon inland/coastal waters in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions. Learn about provisioning, boat systems, auxiliary engines, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation, anchoring / mooring, docking, emergency operations, weather, and more.

What Is Not Included?

• Motion Sickness Remedies. While most of our guests are fine sailing on the ocean, some are concerned about potential sea sickness or queesy-ness. We have seen Dramamine, Bonine and other medications, pressure point wrist bands, patches behind the ear, and more being used. These can typically be purchased at a pharmacy store.
