Windmills (Zaanse Schans) 20 minutes drive from Amsterdam, you will find the Zaan region, Western Europe's oldest industrial area. In the past there used to be running more than 500 windmills here. Nowadays, ten pairs of sails continue to turn in the historical village of Zaanse Schans. Its picturesque mills are still used for sawing wood and grinding flowers, spices, and oil. Exiting demonstrations across the entire site will acquaint you with all kinds of traditional Dutch crafts.

Your driver picks you up from your hotel or any other location and takes you to the Zaanse Schans Windmills. After a 1 hour visit you will continue to a cheese farm. You will learn how the Dutch make cheese and clogs. At the farm you can taste Dutch cheese.
Then you will head to the Fishing villages Volendam & Marken and brings you back again. The driver can provide you with basic information but is not a tour guide.
