Kilometer 1 can be considered a little warm-up as it is an easy and quick one. The access road we will follow is through a beautiful collection of mossy red cedar, Sitka spruce, and douglas fir. Kilometer 2 and 3 are where we will get the heart rate going with an incline up a hill through a bog and many ferns. Once at the top the trail levels out for the next kilometer. The tour continues under the forest canopy alongside an impressive display of waist-high ferns, salal, and other native flora. Once the group emerges from the forest to the breathtaking coastline it will be time for a break. After our break, we will conclude the tour by looping back through the access road to the beginning of the trailhead. This loop is 4 kilometers in total.
Expect mossy roots, bog sections, and steep inclines throughout this trail.
Bring plenty of hydration and light snacks to fuel your uphill stretches and breaks at the coast.
