A narrow lane opens onto a wall the size of a block, color erupting where concrete once read blank. In Comuna 13, the city’s steep western flank, murals cover retaining walls and stairwells, and an open-air escalator snakes up the neighborhood like a bright, mechanical artery. The three-hour walking tour moves slowly—pausing at murals, at small plazas, on rooftop viewpoints—so visitors can hear the stories behind each piece and feel how the barrio’s pulse has changed.
