About This Adventure

Join expert anglers at Brooklyn Bridge Park for a hands-on catch-and-release fishing clinic! Learn essential skills like knot tying and baiting while contributing to community science by assessing the East River's health. This free, all-ages event promises an exciting day of fishing and learning, with equipment provided on a first-come basis.

Learn the basics of catch-and-release line fishing from the Brooklyn Bridge Park's own expert anglers. During this clinic, participants of all ages will learn how to tie knots, bait a hook, drop a line, and (with some luck) reel up a fish! Contribute to the Park’s community science efforts as we collect data from our catch to assess the health of the East River. No experience or supplies needed - equipment is provided but please note only a limited rods are available and will be handed out on a first come, first served basis. All ages are welcome at this free event!
