About This Adventure

Embark on a captivating day with the Combo Cavern Tours, featuring the Historic Tour that reveals the rich history of the caverns from 1897-1925, followed by the Natural Wonder Tour showcasing stunning geological formations. Historic Tour - 50 minutes Take the Historic Tour! The tour includes parts of the caverns viewed by visitors from 1897-1925. It was re-opened for tours in celebration of the 100 year anniversary. History is the focus of information given by the guide.

Natural Wonder Tour - 50 minutes Guests follow a winding path overlooking the beautiful valley and enter the cavern through a sinkhole entrance opened in 2012. Geology is the focus of the information given by the guide.

What’s Included:

The Combo tour starts with the Historic tour. There is a short bus ride to the entrance. Combo Package starts approximately every 20 to 30 minutes throughout the day. Other times, not shown online, are available.

Immediately following the Historic tour, you will be give a ticket for the Natural Wonder tour. There is a short break in between the tours.

Park Information

Before and after the tour, spend time in the 35-acre well maintained park, located directly above the caverns. It contains a playground, picnic shelters, picnic areas, EV charging stations, and restrooms. There is also a gift shop located within the visitor’s center building.

FAQ Answers

  • The Historic Tour has 44 steps down to enter and 38 steps up to exit.
  • The Natural Wonder Tour has no steps to enter and 60 steps up to exit.
  • Strollers are not recommended because the pathway is too narrow in many parts of the caverns. Chest baby carriers or back carriers work great.
  • Pets are not allowed in the cavern. Certified service dogs are permitted.
  • Food and drink is not permitted in the caverns. It is recommended to bring picnic lunches to enjoy the beautiful park. Snacks are available for purchase in the gift shop.
  • Flash photography is welcome but please stay with the group.
  • Video recording, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks are not permitted.
  • The temperature in the cavern is 54° F year round so bring a jacket or sweatshirt. Closed toed shoes are recommended.
  • Parking is FREE every day. Once the main parking lot is full, parking is available just off the main driveway in the grass.
  • Complimentary Hybrid and EV charging is also available.

Additional information

Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your reserved time! Check-in at the ticket booth inside the Visitor Center. You will be given a ticket to hand to the guide upon the start of the tour. Winter tours begin in the Visitor Center. The tour time may vary past the time you booked to accommodate tour spacing.

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to inquire about cancellations. No-shows will be charged the full price.
