You lift from a small runway and the Columbia River unfurls beneath you — a broad ribbon carving a jagged line between cliffs that dare you to look down. In a compact airplane built for 3–5 people, the Gorge closes in: basalt walls stack like uneven steps, hidden waterfalls flash silver, and the Vista House at Crown Point slides into view from an angle few visitors ever see.

The tour is approximately 20 minutes from takeoff to landing, with low-level passes past Crown Point and Vista House.
Weight limits depend on aircraft configuration: up to 250 pounds per person with group caps (600 lbs for groups of 3, 925 lbs for groups of 5); provide accurate weights when booking.
Flights operate in VFR conditions; if weather reduces visibility the operator may reschedule — check cancellation policies and arrive early to avoid schedule conflicts.
You meet at the flight operator’s ramp; all passengers must arrive at least 20 minutes before departure or risk cancellation or rescheduling fees.
The Columbia River Gorge was shaped by the river cutting through the Cascades and scoured by Ice Age floods; Vista House at Crown Point was completed in 1918 as an early scenic overlook.
The Gorge is protected as the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area; visitors are encouraged to stay on trails, pack out trash, and minimize noise to protect wildlife and fragile vegetation.
