About:

Your Berlin cocktail tour will start at the U-Bahn Görlitzer Bahnhof — a historic train station that first opened back in 1902. From there, your guide will take you into local life in the neighborhood of Kreuzberg. This district has long been known for its cultural diversity and alternative vibes, and you’ll learn about that reputation at our first stop, Lausitzer Platz. This is the former heart of the squatters and political uprising that Kreuzberg was so known for. It’s here that an annual street festival is held to recognize the struggles of the working class and, in 1987, it was infamously the site of rioting.

However, today, instead of riots, you’ll encounter cafes, restaurants, and bars. Just like in so much of Berlin, gentrification has taken hold in Kreuzberg, but somehow, the area has also managed to retain its old charm. For that reason, Kreuzberg remains an attractive enclave for artists and creatives from all over the world.

Together with your guide, you’ll explore Kreuzberg 36 and its hidden treasures along with all that history. Your cocktail stops may vary depending on what’s open that day, but some of our favorite places to visit include a quaint old bar that’s also a bowling alley, as well as a small but chic cocktail bar.

Finally, your Berlin cocktail tour will end with a drink at the intriguing, mind-bending Madame Claude — a bar housed in a former brothel where everything is upside-down. Once your tour ends, your guide and local cocktail expert will be all too happy to give you suggestions for other places to enjoy a beverage in Berlin.
