The trip over the ridge traverse starts just above at Hytta på Bandet, where you climb several rope lengths degree 3-4 UIAA up to Søre Dyrhaugstind (2072). The journey onwards involves a lot of quite steep and airy climb between Søre- and Store Dyrhaugstinden. The ridge's location in the centre of Hurrungane gives you a fantastic view. Storen, Store Ringstind, Store Austabotntind and Soleibotntindane are particularly eye-catching.
Use proper gear like crampons and helmets, and ensure you have technical climbing skills.
