You arrive with the Caspian to your right and a stony hand jutting from the plain ahead — Mt. Beshbarmag’s five-finger silhouette slicing the sky. Wind tugs at your jacket and gulls wheel over the sea; the path up is a mix of packed dirt, broken limestone and low scrub where locals leave small offerings and tie ribbons for luck.
