Description

We’ll begin our rock climbing tour at the Coyote Aventuras office at 8:00 AM where we’ll have a fresh pot of coffee and refreshments prepared for you. Once we are ready for our adventure, we will drive 25 minutes out to San Sebastián Tutla to begin our short approach up to the climbing area. Here we will begin reviewing saftey protocols, properly warm up and select some beginner routes to evaluate your climbing abilities.

Once we’ve gone through this evaluation process, we’ll make sure to choose some five-star routes that award you with gorgeous views of Oaxaca City. Our guides are expert rock climbers who know the local crags very well and will select some perfect routes for your ability level. During our rock climbing tour we also explain the local ecology and conservation initiatives that are important in our community.

After our first couple climbs we’ll take a rest to enjoy some organic local snacks. Following a short break, we’ll select some additional routes to try at a different area of the crag in order to give you some distinct views of the valley. Now that you’ve got a feel for the rock, this would be a perfect time to challenge yourself on some of San Sebastián’s intermediate routes.

Now is the time to appreciate some of San Sebastián’s versatile crimps, pockets, and textured footholds. Once weve had your fill, we’ll collect our equipment and hike up to the top of the rock formation for a nice picnic. Around 4:00 PM we will begin our trip back to Oaxaca City where you will be dropped off at the Coyote Aventuras office after an action-packed adventure!
